Purpose built for fishing, marine exploration, inspections, research, and filming, the Seavu Explorer+ Adventure Kit delivers clear live underwater video directly to a TV, monitor, chartplotter, or computer. It provides the simplicity and versatility of the Explorer Adventure Kit combined with the advanced HDMI output found in the Explorer+ range, giving you a powerful real time viewing system for depths up to 50m.
At the centre of the system is the Seavu HDMI Media Cable — a super thin, high strength fibre optic cable available in 25m or 50m lengths. It features a 100kg break strain for reliable use at depth and while towing, and it provides an uncompressed HDMI feed directly to a compatible HDMI screen. This ensures a stable and clear underwater view for both recreational and professional use.
The Explorer+ Adventure Kit uses the same Explorer+ housing designed for the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro and DJI Osmo Action 6, both of which feature a built in DisplayPort output. This enables a direct wired connection from the camera to your external screen through the HDMI Media Cable. Unlike the Explorer+ Pro Kit, this version does not supply power to the camera, so users simply swap batteries every one to two hours during longer sessions.
HDMI output makes the system easy to integrate into a wide range of setups:
TVs and monitors:
Connect directly using the included DisplayPort HDMI Adapter. View live underwater footage on any HDMI display. Your camera can record to its SD card while sending the live feed.
Chartplotters:
Chartplotters with HDMI input connect directly using the same adapter. For models without HDMI input, optional RCA adapters may be used. This allows real time underwater viewing next to your sonar and chart data.
Computers:
For computer viewing, an optional video capture card enables recording or livestreaming in software such as OBS or VLC.
Professional workflows:
The HDMI signal can be integrated into video switchers, converters, and livestream hardware for more advanced filming or research setups.
The kit includes all Explorer Adventure accessories including the Weighted Trolling Fin, Drift Fin, Pole Mount, and stabilising weight. This gives you the flexibility to drift, troll, tow, pole mount, or deploy the camera from a stationary position with smooth and predictable movement underwater.
With reliable HDMI output, a strong deep rated cable, and a fully featured accessory system, the Explorer+ Adventure Kit provides stable, clear, real time underwater viewing for a wide range of on water activities.
Please note: The camera runs on its internal battery and does not receive power through the HDMI Media Cable. Camera, monitor, computer, and chartplotter not included.
Fishing, exploring, inspections, research, filming, and any activity where a clear and stable underwater video feed is needed. The Explorer+ Adventure Kit is ideal for users who want long range HDMI viewing without the need for continuous power delivery.

Only required if you’re connecting your Explorer+ Kit to a computer.
A video capture card enables high-quality livestreaming and recording to a computer via software like OBS, Zoom, VLC, or QuickTime.
Use your own (must support USB 3.0, 4K input, and 4K recording), or add this compact, premium-grade 4K Video Capture Card with USB-A and USB-C connections.
For professional workflows, the HDMI signal can also be connected directly to video switchers (such as the Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro) or HDMI to SDI converters (like the Blackmagic Micro Converter) — no capture card required in these setups
Direct Connection
The included HDMI cable connects to your TV, monitor, selected chartplotters, or video capture card.
Extended Viewing Distance
Add a HDMI 2.1 fibre-optic cable for long-distance runs — uncompressed 4K video with minimal signal loss.
Multiple Screens
Use an HDMI splitter to display footage on multiple screens without reducing quality. Requires 5W or higher USB-C charger, not included.
Wireless Option
Wireless HDMI systems (like the Hollyland Pyro H 4K) offer cable-free viewing with great range and image quality. While we don’t offer these, they’re a convenient option — though they may introduce slight latency. Fibre-optic remains the most reliable for real-time monitoring.
